DPD Couriers this tuesday Are Staying Away

Post by GMBunionOrganiser » Sun Dec 03, 2017 10:33 am

Many will know that GMB Union have recruited a lot of DPD couriers this year in many parts of the country.

In Scotland and a few other places this Tuesday 5th December a number of the couriers off their own backs, have decided to stay away from work.

We are asking other colleagues in the industry to show some support and solidarity with these couriers.

While I appreciate the sentiment, the plain fact of the matter is thus...

If ALL Hermes couriers fail to turn up for work on Tuesday then, yes, they may succeed in proving a point, but if say, 25% fail to turn up, as is the most likely scenario, then 25% will be looking for work on Wednesday.

Sad, but true.
