Fast expanding Cartwright is achieving unprecedented growth across all areas of its business as demand for its products and related services is hitting record levels.
The company’s current financial year has also seen record growth in other key parts of the business including Rentals, Fleet Services, Sales, Finance and Cartwright Conversions which was launched in January of last year and is already making a significant impact in the growing van conversions sector.
Cartwright’s senior management is forecasting that annual turnover will exceed £130 million for the first time in the company’s 65-year history having cemented its position as the second largest trailer manufacturer in the UK.
In line with this unprecedented growth, Cartwright has invested more than £5 million in capital expenditure at the organisation’s South Manchester 40-acre manufacturing complex.
Over the past 12 months, Cartwright’s success has been reflected in winning five major awards as well as the prestigious Motor Transport Apprenticeship of the Year Award, providing national industry recognition of the organisation’s market leading investment in its ongoing apprenticeship programme. Cartwright was recently listed as one of the UK’s top 100 apprentice employers in the National Apprenticeship Awards.
Mark Cartwright, Group Managing Director commented: “The business continues to expand across all our mainstream activities and this is a reflection of our hard-working workforce and our committed senior management team.
“Our policy in recent years to build a diverse business of related products and services is now paying dividends and a major beneficiary is the customer who can enjoy a one-stop experience from our rental products, to new build, competitive and flexible finance options through to fleet management and maintenance.
“Importantly we have invested substantially in the factory to ensure that our productivity levels are continually improving in line with our ever-increasing quality levels”, he said.
Mark Cartwright stressed that the company board was not only focusing on the present, but to the future and the organisation’s continued investment in its industry leading apprenticeship scheme is clear evidence of its commitment to the next chapter.
