LCF and GDPR ...

Post by Schrodingers Cat » Tue May 22, 2018 1:44 pm

Just a thought ...

One of the printing forums I'm a member of is sending out emails to all of its members asking for permission to hold their data under the new GDPR regulations. I know it's only IP and email addresses they hold but, come to think of it, there may be private data on the database from posts and PM's the users have sent and I'm wondering how GDPR affects forums.

Time for a little research I think ...

Best to cover your bases xLc, the fines aren't trivial. It's turning out to be a real bugger this GDPR business though.
